At Golden Wattle Early Education in Ultimo, Sydney, we are committed to fostering an inclusive education program that is accessible to all children. We have a nursery that caters to children aged between 0 and 1, and we also accommodate toddlers, junior kindy and senior kindy. Our Start Strong Kindergarten Program is delivered by a fully-qualified Early Childhood Teacher and also means we’re more than qualified to foster learning in children over the age of 4.
Our childcare program is specifically designed to foster strong bonds between children and educators at a pre-school level. We achieve this by embracing a child’s cultural identity and exploring their heritage. This allows children to have a better understanding of themselves, which can then lead them to develop interpersonal bonds in a community context. OUR CHILDCARE PROGRAM
The Early Years Learning Framework
The Early Years Learning Framework is an important resource for educators and children, respectively, in that it embraces a vision for a new Australia. The framework is founded upon the principle of inclusivity – in which all Australians are accepted, irrespective of their origins, and have mutual respect.
With this in mind, Golden Wattle Early Education has created a diverse educational program that gives every child the equal opportunity to thrive and shape their own destinies. We teach the importance of Aboriginal Cultures, given Australia’s own ancestral relatedness to Indigenous Peoples. Some of our other activities include yoga, soccer and other sport classes on a weekly basis. We believe these activities give children the chance to grow independently whilst fostering communal ties. Our Sydney Childcare Centre is based in Ultimo, fully equipped with sufficient and age-appropriate resources and features that allow children to grow through tailored learning and exploration. Some features include dynamic play areas and educational stimuli.
Our Sydney facilities are divided according to age groups so that children receive appropriate stimuli to achieve ultimate learning outcomes. For instance, we have 5 rooms and divide rooms by one year age gaps. All these rooms are tailored to target milestones associated with each age group, which, for babies, is the process of learning through surroundings. We have experienced staff on hand to make use of these state-of-the-art facilities and incorporate them into our holistic curriculum. For Golden Wattle Early Education, it’s about aligning academic aims with a child’s developmental needs so that they form healthy habits and necessary skills that they can take with them on their journey. Kinderm8 is a secure online community for our educators to communicate with parents about their children.
Educators can engage with parents and families by sharing real-time updates on their child’s learning. Families can then provide insights and feedback to extend the child’s learning. Over time, this deepens relationships between the learning service and family, personalises the learning journey for the child, and improves outcomes for the child, parents, and educators.
Kindergarten Approved Program
Our childcare centre is designed to meet government guidelines to support children’s participation in quality early childhood education to ensure our children are ready for school.
An approved kindergarten program is provided for children in the year before Prep, play-based and delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher. The play-based learning of an approved kindergarten program helps children prepare for school, develop a love of learning, make friends, and develop skills useful for life.Book a Tour
